4:22 pm - Good Bye Verio
God , i am getting emotional now as i am typing this .... after 4 and a half years of working at Verio today is my last day ... I am scared and sad , the decision to leave here was not easy, but I had to do it because I need the money.

I didn't know how to say good bye to everybody , hell I don't want to say good bye ... i just wanted to say "see ya tomorrow" or something ....

I cant think of a person that I do not like here in this place , i love everybody especially the people i worked with more closely.

The guys from Domain services bought me a "cya" ice cream cake which was so yummy , then the greatest supervisor in the whole world [info]springdew got pizza for me and the team ... thank you so much!

And of course much love to [info]geekychick for pestering everybody to sign my good bye card , it is awesome , i will remember everybody for sure

Good Bye Verio .... :(

11:40 am - itsy bitsy ... update
Hiya gang,

Just a quick update ...

I have been scuba certified for about 2 months now, I am waiting to warm up a little more and go diving. So if anybody knows a good (shallow lol) places to dive , please let me know

WMC was insane ... I absolutely had a blast, it was well worth the rining in my ears (As Kalvin says ).... Zew and Dillow from bassdrive.com were here for the week , it was great. I didn't have a camera with me so there were only like 10 pics of me from the whole 5 days and I dont have any pictures from Renegade Hardware :(

http://www.dobrina.com/gallery/view_album.php?set_albumName=album28

Those were the most memorable experiences for the month of March.

PS. I started the SoBe diet about 4 weeks ago , I am down to 116lbs from 128 WOOHOO! :D

1:29 pm - you dont need no stinkin' update ... but here it is ...
1. I am taking scuba classes .... besides getting a cold from the pool dives, getting sick beyond hell on the boat during the first open water dive (sea sickness -- I wanted to die ,but then after a while i realized i will not die and the agony will continue forever) , everything is great , first dive was great ,second cut short because i was freezing and shivering under water (no good). Next week maybe I will complete the course, but so far not the greatest experience.

2. Money situation is out of control. My 4 monster student loans will come and eat me alive.... yep I will be on the financial treadmill (like that commercial) for the next 5-10 years, unless i find a better paying job or start a business.
At least I graduated, but was it worth it... my school keeps coming up with fees I have to pay … I hate them with a passion.

3. WMC is coming .... I was so excited about it, but due to the financial situation I may have to skip it ... or go on one or two parties only.

On a brighter note:

4 . Happy valentines ... I hate Valentines , it has always been a stupid holiday invented to make 1/2 of the population feel even more depressed than they actually are ... but today i cannot complain ... yesterday my honey took care of me with a nice card , which says

"Would you be my valentine? Please??? Pretty please with me on top .... of you? " -- hilarious

Also box of chocolates and also a small real diamond pendant (on a chain) in a shape of a heart ... awwwww i almost died ... he is the bestets!

5:06 pm - update ...
I am quite the patient person when it comes to disasters like that and the government officials and institutions working their way thru..., that’s how i am used to because I am a foreigner and in Bulgaria (at least in the past) the more you voice out your negativity (complain) against the system the more they screw you over , so you just sit there quietly and wait ...and wait .. and wait ...

Its been a week and one day since Wilma hit , still no power .... :/ and I am really starting to get annoyed and completely uncomfortable with this whole shit ....

At first it reminded me of my old days in Bulgaria , where we had "power schedule" , since the Power Plant was so poor couldn’t afford fuel and all that stuff , they had us on a 3:1 power schedule , which meant 3 hours you have power , one hour they shut it off ... this went on for like a year (back in 1990) , it was quite fun.... but a week without power ?? ... sniffle...

Also, In my inbox today:

"My home owners association saw that I had multiple cats and they say I can only have 2. I have 48 hours to remove the additional animals. If you or anyone you know could take one or both kittens I would be appreciative. I do not want to have to take them to a humane society.

Luna, a male, is 6 months old. He is black with white tipped paws and a white spot under his chin.

That’s what Chris Martin called the peeps from West Palm beach last night at the concert , i found it quite amusing LOL

Anyway, the Coldplay show was amazing , even though I am not their biggest fan and we were up on the lawn and my ass was dirty and wet. Christ Martin fucked up "The Scientist" , which again was quite funnny ...

2:30 pm - :(
I, like many others am deeply saddened by what is happening in New Orleans. I could not believe that this is actually happening in America the strongest country in the World , the country that executes dangerous and complicated military operations to save one of its citizens stranded in a foreign country or take prisoner of war, but cannot help thousands of its citizens stranded on its own land ..... I feel like this country is turning into a third world country....

Dont we have the money? Dont we have the equipment? Dont we have the manpower??? I think we do , I know I donated a little bit of money (and really hurts me that I cant give more) .... so why are those people stranded for days and weeks with no food , no water , no electricity?

Hell if Bush (and his administration) doesnt care about the people , he should be sending some help to save the oil refineries... his precious oil ....

It's just brings tears to my eyes when I think that I escaped from a chaotic country like Bulgaria to see America turn into one too

Yep , I will post it here because this is plain disturbing , no matter what ....and no i will not use lj cutters so you can see it all!

Repost from Dj Syze's post on drumandbass.cult.bg

Hello,

Many of you have heard what happened in Salt Lake City Utah last night... and if you have not here is all the information you need. Please help us fight these pigs by posting this anywhere you can. The promoters had all permits and this was an illigal raid by the state.

AND HERE IS A LINK TO THE VIDEO THEY DIDNT WANT YOU TO SEEE

http://slcdnb.com/versus.mov

Please repost this if you care about basic human rights and feel that this is wrong. This happened in Utah please read below.

Here is the video footage:

http://homepage.mac.com/apexgrin/FileSharing2.html

Knick of Evol intent puts the night's events into his own words::

Last night, I was booked to play an event about an hour outside of Salt Lake City, Utah. The hype behind this show was huge, they presold 700 tickets and they expected up to 3,000 people total. The promoters did an amazing job with the show.. they even made slipmats with the flyers on them to promote in local shops.

So, we got to the show around 11:15 or so and it was really cool. It was all outdoors, in a valley surrounded by huge mountains. They had an amazing light show flashing on to a mountain behind the site, the sound was booming, the crowd was about 1500 people thick and everything just seemed too good to be true really. Well...

At about 11:30 or so, I was standing behind the stage talking with someone when I noticed a helicopter pulling over one of the mountain tops. I jokingly said "Oh look, here comes big brother" to the person I was with. I wasn't far off.

The helicopter dipped lower and lower and started shining its lights on the crowd. I was kind of in awe and just sat and watched this thing circle us for a minute. As I looked back towards the crowd I saw a guy dressed in camoflauge walking by, toting an assault rifle. At this point, everyone was fully aware of what was going on . A few "troops" rushed the stage and cut the sound off and started yelling that everyone "get the fuck out of here or go to jail". This is where it got really sticky.

No one resisted. That's for sure. They had police dogs raiding the crowd of people and I saw a dog signal out a guy who obviously had some drugs on him. The soldiers attacked the guy (4 of them on 1), and kicked him a few times in the ribs and had their knees in his back and sides. As they were cuffing him, there was about 1000 kids trying to leave in the backdrop, peacefully. Next thing I know, A can of fucking TEAR GAS is launched into the crowd. People are running and screaming at this point. Girls are crying, guys are cussing... bad scene.

Now, this is all I saw with my own eyes, but I heard plenty of other accounts of the night. Now this isnt gossip I heard from some candy raver, these are instances cited straight out of the promoters mouth..

- One of the promoters friends (a very small female) was attacked by one of the police dogs. As she struggled to get away from it, the police tackled her. 3 grown men proceeded to KICK HER IN THE STOMACH.

- The police confiscated 3 video tapes in total. People were trying to document what was happening out there. The police saw one guy filming and ran after him, tackled him and his camera fell, and luckily.. his friend grabbed it and ran and got away. priceless footage. That's not all though. Out of 1,500 people, there's sure to be more footage.

- The police were rounding up the staff of the party and the main promoter went up to them with the permit for the show and said "here, I have the permit." The police then said, "no you don't" and ripped the permit out of his hand. Then, they put an assault rifle to his forehead and said "get the fuck out of here right now."

Now.. let's get the facts straight here.

This event was 100% legal. They had every permit the city told them they needed. They had a 2 MILLION DOLLAR insurance policy for the event. They had liscenced security guards at the gates confiscating any alcohol or drugs found upon entry (yes, they searched every car on the way in). Oh, I suppose I should mention that they arrested all the security guards for possession.

Oh another interesting fact.. the police did not have a warrant. The owner of the land already has a lawsuit against the city for something similar. A few months ago, she rented her land for a party and the police raided that as well. And catch this, the police forced her to LEAVE HER OWN PERSONAL PROPERTY. That's right. They didnt arrest her, but made her leave her own property!!!

Don't get it twisted, this is all going down in probably THE most conservative state in the USA. And this is scary.. a gross violation of our civil liberties. The police wanted this party shut down, so they made it happen. Even though everything about this event was legal. The promoters spent over $ 20,000 on this show and did everything they had to to make it legit, only to have it taken away from them by a group of radical neo-con's with an agenda.

This was one of the scariest things I have ever witnessed in person. I can't even begin to describe how surreal it was. Helicopters, assault rifles, tear gas, camoflauge-wearing soldiers.... why? Was that really necessary?

This needs to be big news across the USofA. At least in our music scene (edm as a whole)... this could happen to any of us at any time. When we're losing the right to gather peacefully, we're also letting the police set a standard of what we can get away with. And I think that's BULLSHIT!

The system fucked up last night... They broke up a party that was 100% legal and they physically hurt a lot of people there at the same time. The promoters already have 6 lawsuits ready to file with their lawyers and the ACLU is already involved.

I'm sure some pictures (and hopefully some video) will surface soon. I'll make sure to post them up here on 404, so you can see the Police State of America at work.

Dj Syze account

Hey everyone, by now most of you know that I was set to perform at the Versus 2 in Salt Lake City Utah last night August 20th 2005. I am mad, sad, and disturbed at what happened. Here is more info and thank you all for your kind words.......please spread this all around and write letters so we can be heard and fight this.

Ravers mauled by K-9s, beat up by police, CAMERAS CONFISCATED & DESTROYED, SWAT brandishing ASSAULT RIFLES, women KICK IN THE STOMACH by cops, TEAR GAS dispersed!
